Coca Cola was introduced to Australia in 1937 and not long after a manufacturing plant began operating in Sydney.

Coca Cola itself was a recipe first invented in 1886 by Dr. John Stith Pemberton, a pharmacist from Atlanta Georgia US. By 1895, with the company now under the control of Asa Candler, Coca-Cola was available in every state and territory in the United States. In 1919, a group of investors headed by Ernest Woodruff and W. C. Bradley purchased The Coca-Cola Company for $25 million and throughout the 1900s, bottling operations were built in Cuba, Panama, Canada, Puerto Rico, the Philippines, Guam and France. The mainstay of their success was the abilty to innovate in the feild of marketing and distribution.

By 1988 Coca-Cola had become the best-known trademark in the world. Today Coca Cola is available in more than 200 countries with approximately 1.3 billion servings each day.
