Australia on Video. Australia's premier motor race, The Bathurst 1000, has had many names under it's various sponsors including Hardie Ferodo 1000, James Hardie 1000, Tooheys 1000, AMP 1000, Primus 1000 Classic, FAI 1000 Classic, V8 Supercar 1000, Bob Jane T-Marts 1000 and the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000. Featuring a diverse range of vehicles during it's eras' today it is the feature race for the V8 Supercar series.
1998 Bathurst 1000
For a few years there were two races at Bathurst one was for Super Touring and production cars (Bathurst 1000), the other for V8 Supercars (Australian 1000 Classic) 1998 was the last of the mixed class 1000 km races with the V8 supercars taking over.
